So there is a couple of possible issues here. Try the following then reply to me.
1. Plug in the charger and move it a little, Be careful. Is there any movement when you try to move the cord around in the port?
2. Are you using a known working OEM charger for this item?
3. It is possible that the water got on Caps and other components on the motherboard. This will require a special set of skills to repair.
4. Did it work right before it had exposure to water?
