If you have Win 10 installed try changing the following power settings to make the laptop shutdown when the battery level is at 40%
-1. Go to ''Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings ''(on your selected plan) ''> Change Advanced power settings > Battery >'' click ''+ symbol on '''Low Battery Action '''> On Battery >'' select ''Shutdown.''
