Compatible 3rd party PCIe SSD's for iMac14,1 emc2638?

After a dive through the ifixit tear-downs, I now know that my iMac (21.5in late 2013 emc2638) currently has an unpopulated (12+16 or 8+18 pin?) pcie slot for the fusion drive. I am planning to upgrade this and some other parts, but don't want to bother with the pcie slot if the only available parts are the recovered/refurbished apple ones. Neither of these parts is advertised as being compatible, but I have heard elsewhere that my iMac shares the ssd interface of at least one of these other macs. Is this upgrade possible with 3rd party components/adapters?
