The A1706 and A1707 are not compatible. The difference being the tab at the bottom next to the spacebar is slightly wider on the A1706. The keyboard will not fit. I know this because I just had the honor of taking an A1707 keyboard out only to find that my vendor sent me an 1706. Fun fun.
