This is a very roundabout solution, and you've probably figured something out by now, but if you play a frequency outside of your hearing range at an extremely low but non-trivial volume constantly over the aux, it will constantly play /something/ but you won't be able to hear it.
Dogs and young children will hate you, and power usage will be constant, but hey... it will technically work.
