Stick that memory card into your computer. Watch how long it takes the computer to 'map' the drive. I'll bet, thats the problem ! The larger the card, the slower it becomes.

If the computer shows a error message, DO NOT "fix the problems". DO NOT try to view all the pics. Drag & drop the entire disk to your HD. Any bad files encountered, must be ignored. Those pictures are lost.

I recommend a new SD card. Should you choose, '''format the old card in-the-camera''', NOT in the computer. Contrary to popular beliefs, camera formats are not all the same. You may end up here again.
