Can't get into Rear Blinker Housing to Replace Bulb

SO it looks like VW changed the housing for the rear tail lights. On the 2012-2015 models there's a gray piece that separates from the housing. However on the 2016 it appears the housing is all molded black plastic, with the only viable option being size 10 torx screws, I have some trepidation to remove these as I don't know if that's the correct way. Does any one know if I have to remove the 4 torx and pry the light from the housing?
