I doubt it’s the compressor. Do you notice ice around the damper? Or frost any where, including the freezer? Check the back wall of freezer for frost. Without a model number I can’t be positive, but I’m sure that damper operates off the temperature thermostat for fresh food section. It has to be an air flow problem somewhere. If it’s not defrosting properly the evaporator coils could be iced up. If you see frost in freezer in plug the refrigerator and remove the freezer shelves so you ca remove the panel on back wall to expose the evaporator. If there if frost on the evaporator coil take a pic. Notice if the coils are covered evenly with frost or if it’s only ona certain section. That’s all I have without a model number. Good luck.
