Hi @veteranfemale ,
As it is a new tablet , you shouldn't have too much personal data or downloaded apps stored on it yet, so you could try the standard Android hard reset.
''Be aware that a hard reset will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the tablet to its' factory default condition. It will be like when you first got it.''
Make sure that the tablet is actually powered off.
1.Press the "Power" and the "Volume Up" buttons, together, until you see the start-up logo on the screen.
(If this doesn't do anything try ''Power + Volume Down'' '''or''' ''Power + Volume Down + Volume Up ''- all 3 together)
2. Once you can see the logo, release the buttons and allow the device to enter the "System Recovery Mode".
-''When in recovery mode use the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons to navigate and highlight what option you need.''
-3. Next use "Volume Down" button to get to the "wipe data/factory reset" option.
+''When in recovery mode use the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons to navigate and highlight what option you need. Press the "Power" button to select the option''
+
+3. Next use "Volume Down" button to get to the "wipe data/factory reset" option.
+
4. Once you have highlighted the "wipe data/factory reset", press the "Power" button to select that option.
5. On the following screen, repeatedly press the "Volume Down" button until the "Yes - delete all user data" option is what is highlighted.
6. Then press the "Power" button to hard reset the tablet.
Be patient. It takes a little while to complete the reset.
