Okey dokey. so at first I kept repeatedly getting the Red screen of death. Problem solved by disconnecting front camera. but now, It gets to "waiting for iPhone" and then the iPhone reboots and iTunes spits out error 4013. I then tried 3u tools firmware flash, I still get stuck at 19%. I have tried DFU Mode. no help. So then in 3u tools I clicked "exit recovery mode" and the phone went into an infinite boot loop which I had to force restore mode to stop. I am so confuzzled.

So I am not sure whether it was the indicator that failed or not, as it is my grandfathers phone. he says he has never spilled/dropped it in water. everything looks clean with the exception of my fingerprints on some of the parts.
