I like to use quality adhesive for the bracket. You have to clean off all the old adhesive to insure you get good grip. If the bracket holds firmly, even the residual adhesive on the gasket and washer will suffice. I use the pre-cut templates from BowlerTech. I specifically get the bulk kits that include the extra tape that was not trimmed so I can make a custom cutout for the mini 4 bracket. BowlerTech also offers the extra trimmings separately. Or you can use [product|IF317-072|Tesa Tape] sold here on iFixit but you have to buy a whole reel.
