Asus G752 SSD issues - Reinstalling has Risks

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

So I have a G752VS

Problem is the NVME SSD isn't native with the motherboard.

If you stuff up installation, you basically brick your SSD and you cannot install Windows to it.

Problem is I do lots of stuff, and instead of cleaning all the problems or bugs up, I just reinstall Windows and start again.

Anyhow, I can't really do this without fear of losing my SSD's capabilities..

Is Windows Reset the same as doing a complete bare metal reinstall? Or are some things retained in the process?

To elaborate more.. when you do a complete reinstall of the OS, you cannot see the SSD drive when asked where to put Windows. You need to install a driver manually and it appears that sometimes this doesn't work, leaving you stuck.
