I was able to find the solution to my battery not detected problem. There is a small piece that goes between the battery ribbon and the board connection. After disconnecting the LCD/glass, that's when I noticed the extra little piece that should have gone in. Thankfully, I saved everything from the repair, reinstalled that piece and had no problem with battery detection after that. Hope this helps.
