Two things to look at are the tips themselves and how they are inserted in the handle and the black connector that connects to the actual station. The S-E error is usually caused by a tip that is incorrectly inserted in the handle. Take it out and push it back in completely, it should audibly "snap" into place. If you have more than one tip, try those as well. If none of the tips work, then check to insure the black connector at the end of the handle is properly connected into the station.
Do you have other handles or tweezers that you can connect to the station? This will help you isolate the issue even further.
