Shows charging but then says isnt charging

I replaced a customers screen and battery on their Droid maxx 2 and now the phone shows the lighting bolt saying the phone is charging but when I go to the settings and go under battery it states that the phone is not charging and the battery percentage is not moving, can someone please help me with this issue? PS I removed the wireless charger per customers request
