Wont power on without key combo

hi all!

I have a 2008 MacBook Pro that will not power on (No fans no lights nothing) Without removing battery and magsafe holding pwr button for 10 secs and while still holding it plug magsafe back in and hold for another 10 secs. Then the computer works normally aside from random crashing.

What can I do to make this computer boot normal? Its really starting to annoy me.
