J Falcon since it was a salt water immersion I do not think that a simple alcohol pad is going to do the trick for you. This is one of those cases where I would use deionized water to remove as much of the debris and corrosion that you will find. Some people actually submerge the whole logic board and use a soft brush to clean the logic board. After that use isopropyl alcohol, if you can find it use a concentration of greater than 70% ask your pharmacist they are great for that stuff. Clean the board again with alcohol and let it dry thoroughly. Replace the battery with a new one and make sure that all your connectors and cable are clean of any debris and corrosion. Also check the board for any interruptions of the traces. Good Luck and let us know how it is working out for you
