Open the Equinox's rear hatch. If you have an assistant who can hold the hatch in the half-open position, this task will be easier.

Remove the two screws from the lens cover of the lamp you need to replace, and remove the cover. The cover might be stuck to the rubber seal, requiring you to gently pry it off.

Pull the burned out bulb straight out of the socket, and replace it with a replacement bulb.

Replace the lens cover and insert the screws. Do not tighten the screws excessively or you may crack the cover
