I had this problem with my IPhone 7+ and was so annoyed because My screen brightness was so low compared to others. So I started to compare my sisters IPhone settings with mine. I then went to General , Accesibility , & Display Accomodations. Then I switched off “Reduce White Point” and my phone got brighter! Hope this helps !!
