Hey William!

If the sensor is not damaged, and foam insert is there and correctly aligned, then chances are it is being cause by the screen replacement. When they manufacture these, they sometimes make the hole over the sensor too thick, or too dark, which blocks the light and activates the proximity sensor.

If you can, I would put your old screen on and see if the sensor works. That way we can know for sure if the problem is the replacement screen
