Well that sounds like it hitting something, like a cable or you possibly got a bad fan. Check to see that the wires are not getting into it.

Well that sounds like it hitting something, like a cable or you possibly got a bad fan. Check to see that the wires are not getting into it. Also when you have it open use some canned air to turn it and see if you can spot what it is.
