You probably want to do a system restore of Windows.

I think you need to press  some key to get to the screen before windows boots.

Usually it is something like:

Switch on computer and immediately and repeatedly (2 times per second) press

one of the keys ESC, F1, F2, F8, F10, but it could be also another key.

Look into the manual.
