Kindle locked during update - no change to screen

I think my Kindle paperwhite is 'bricked'  - it stopped during the 'update' process.  No type of rebooting 7 seconds or 40 seconds makes it work.  It is not 'seen' by the PC if attached with USB.  Does anyone offer a repair service for this issue (from what I've seen on youtube it needs a technical expert)
