I was ready to follow your wonderful instructions to put in a new printhead on my 1400, however,I called and Epson parts distributor, said they would sell me the part, but because I was not an authorized repair person, the head would not come with a warranty or support. Also, I talked to a person there and they said they use an instrument to calibrate the electrical , since this part fits other Epson printers. I called 3 repair stations near me, and they basically gave the same answer. Is this hooey? Has anyone actually done the install on a 1400?
