I think I accidently threw away my amazon fire to stick remote about s month ago as I can't find it anywhere , I have since ordered a new remote but it will not work, I have tried pairing and rebooting by holding down the select key and home key at the same time and also the select key and the play key...nothing happens. When I turn the power on to the fire stick, the screen just says "press play to start" however does nothing when I press play on the remote.
I have also tried using the amazon to remote app on IOS however this will not even pick up my firestick let alone pair with it.
I have used the app in the past and it has worked fine.
Does this mean my fire stick is broken? Please help!
