Power + volume down while lock button is in the locked position.  Once tablet vibrates move lock button to unlock position, and then release the power button. Use both hands. If it gives a bootloader error in red letters, repeat the steps until it takes. This took me about 15 consecutive tries before it finally reset the tablet.
