Alex, there are a couple of videos on youtube that may help you with that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTMSRfEqWAU is one of them as a rule of thumb I would get a can of air duster and try blowing out the whole laser assembly including the gears and track. I'd also clean the center spindle (with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip) and make sure the discs are sitting flat.
