Metal frame coming off. Volume button sometimes stops responding.

So my phone is more than a year old, and I'm having occasional issues with the headphone jack- doesn't recognise the earphones, resolved by some pushing / twisting or restarting. The volume down button is also unresponsive on occasion. And the metal frame is beginning to peel off. Can I resolve this or shall I use an exchange offer to get a new one before this cooks out?
