Some things to look at . First check the cable if you have another cable try it the problem may be with the cable . Next check to see your plugged in properly . Next lets go to the device manager and check the status of the network adapter. Does it say this device is working properly? Are the drivers up to date ? Try reinstalling the drivers . Updating will be difficult without internet access but not impossible . If you find no joy here then we should move on to the network card . Is it an on-board card or is it a pci card . If its a card then try reseating it . Take the card out and then reinstall. Not much can be done for a bad onboard nic other than to disable it and replace it with a PCIe card . Another thing you can try is to flush the DNS this can occasionally cause internet interruption. [https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html|This will show you how depending on your OS] . Another thing to look at is your anti virus software. Is it Mcafee ? Is it expired? If so it could be stopping you from going online. If this is the case then you will need to uninstall it or pony up and pay . Uninstalling requires a program like Revo uninstaller as the uninstaller in windows will leave enough crap behind in the registry to make life miserable . These are a few things to check into . Hope this helps
