jc104094 , Check that the child safety lock is not on. Check fuses, if the IGN 1, B/U LAMP, RADIO or PWRSEAT/PSD fuse is removed or blown sliding door will not work. If you have had the battery unhooked the sliding door will have to be reprogrammed. 1st link below is your manual to help check these possible problems and reprogramming of sliding door.

Could be a electrical problem, also could be a mechanical problem with the door. The PSD module, cable adjustments, door alignment adjustments, door contact switches, corroded/pinched/damaged/loose wire/plug, faulty PSD motor are just some of the parts that can fail or be out of adjustment to cause a problem. There is a possibility that there may be a trouble code in the on board computer and vehicle should be scanned to see. Some of the auto parts suppliers offer free code reading like Pepboys, Nappa, Advanced auto parts,etc and some of the guys are very knowledgeable and may have seen the issue often and put you on the right track.
