Phone is not turning on and not charging even. Why?

I was using my mobile and slept for 1 hour on day time. when i woke up and press the home button to use my phone then it RE-Started and then stuck on the Logo page (where usually written the Samsung model. it shows on the upper left corner "ODIN: read failure " something like that.
i turned it off and press the power button+home Key+volume down button together and properties opened.i m not sure what was that. then i press the volume up button and screen showed "Downloading, do not turn off device." i turned it off and started again same before with vol key power key and home key. when i got in the properties i press''''''VOLUME DOWN BUTTON (restart)''' then it turned off and still turn off. its not even charging.
