For other folks, if none of these solutions work...  Our Saeco Aroma was leaking too and I found a different  answer online at http://pilkin.com/how/saeco/.    The brass valve pin that makes the seal had some grooves worn in from daily use.   After sanding those away, back to a smooth finish, the valve seats tightly and the leaking stopped.  That'll likely be a necessary task every few years until the unit really breaks down.
