ianrafael_14 I am assuming (always a bad idea;-) that you are referring to a WD My Book Essential with a 2 TB drive. You did not tell us what you are using it with, either under a macOS or Windows. You do want to start your troubleshooting by going through the support of WD [http://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=120|on here] and then let us know if it did or did not work for you.
