Replacing either the battery or the charging port will require soldering as they are both soldered to the board . So with that said before replacing either one you may want to just disconnect the battery and reconnect it . This is a common problem with tablets and an easy fix (not so much with this tablet). So crack [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PqV3kebX_Q|open the tablet]and desolder the two connections from the motherboard then resolder. Once done try to reboot.
