+looking for a way to reapply a new coat

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Eventually the alcohol will damage the surface of your grip and the coating will wear all the way off. This is inevitable as you either will be stuck with a sticky coat or an ever thinner coating. I am looking for a way to reapply a new coat that looks and feels the same as new. Note: buying a new part is not possible in many cases. For example, I have a Canon XL2 that has this trouble; the coat is gone is some places. The camera was discontinued years ago but I still love the thing. I want to restore it.
