Have you heard about the restrictions surrounding air shipment of lithium batteries? We sure have. By now, just about everyone has heard of the exploding battery issue that everyone's second-favorite cell phone manufacturer has been dealing with. All jokes aside, lithium batteries have been deemed a fire risk by the International Air Transport Association . In order to comply with regulations, we are faced with changing our shipping procedures for any orders containing batteries. Domestic orders may only be shipped via Standard shipping. iFixit is not able to ship batteries internationally or outside the contiguous US at this time except in special circumstances. Your iFixit Pro Account Manager will contact you if your order needs to be modified after it is placed. If you need items to be shipped via air delivery, please remove the batteries from your order and place them in a separate order via ground shipping. If you mistakenly place an order containing batteries and pay for air shipping, we will offer a refund for the difference of shipping via ground. All international shipments including batteries may be subject to added shipping fees.
