It sounds like a connectivity issue or speed issue. Are there any thick or dense (brick or steel backed) walls or any large chunks of metal (a refrigerator) or anything that creates interference (computer towers) close to your router or to the Echo?
What's your internet speed, and what kind of load do you normally have on your network? If you notice that when streaming HD video, Echo has issues, then you may have a slow internet connection.
