@bones1 open it up and start by checking from the speaker end backwards. You'll need at least a multimeter to check the components on the power amplifier. Post some images of your boards with your question so that we can see what you see. Use this guide [guide|21499] for that.

Once you have it apart, check the voltages on the amp board. Most of the voltages are posted on the diagram. '''Careful!!''' There are some pretty high voltages on that board. So unless you know how to check it, you do want to consider letting a professional check it out. Could be a hair raising experience.
