@theaznop a multimeter is not going to show you if the battery can actually hold a charge. I would start with a new battery just so that I have a known-good starting point. Then work my way from that. "overheats when charging " is not usually a sign of a bad charging port, but a sign bad battery, bad power management IC or short in the charging circuitry.
