I did a HDD erase as to where I could reinstall OSX and now when I try to reinstall OSX the Mac just shuts down ... I've reset ram .... I've smc reset as well to no avail... wondering if within terminal could I do an install to untitled 1

-GPU was having basic product situation regarding the desodering from board as Mac is early 2008 edition so well enough did the fix and my screen now works fine all my indicators are green and all... I wiped my drive trying to do a reinstall from my USB bootable Mountain Lion drive and somehow someway deleted the system folder which holds the attributes to keep my machine running in cycles while the install takes place.... As of now after I initialize the new install it starts then after a couple of seconds to minutes into the install it just shuts off. Talking to Apple care they said I must have erased my system folder in the process as at first I was getting a question mark folder now the Recovery Partition comes up but it still won't allow a fresh install as it turns off.
