Hi there Alec, there may be several reasons as to why your experiencing your problem with your device. One issue could be that you have the device set on mute, meaning the volume will not be outputted regardless of you touching the volume controls. You can "unmute" the device by clicking the mute button again. Another issue could be that your volume buttons are disconnected to the device motherboard. Please refer to the "volume button replacement guide". The speakers may also be malfunctioning. Please resort to the "speaker replacement guide".
