Double check to make sure your computer has it's Wi-Fi turned on. Go to the bottom right of the task bar and click on where the Wi-Fi icon should be. Make sure airplane mode is turned off, and the Wi-Fi is turned on. If there is no mention of Wi-Fi anywhere then your Wi-Fi card may be defective.
