First check and see if your battery is dead and if it is plug in your charger and see if the screen turns on. Having a dead battery can cause the screen to not turn on. Another solution is to do the built-in LCD self-test:
· Turn the computer off.
· Press and hold the D key while pressing the power button. This will start the Laptop LCS BIST.
· The screen will start flashing with colors. Take note of any lines, distortion, or any other video issues.
· The laptop will restart when the test is finished.
