You likely just need to reflash the factory images. Just boot into fastboot by holding volume down and power, and flash the factory image from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#bullhead
If your phone shows QHSUSB_BULK in device manager, it is much more complicated. It seems that there is no unbrick method for the 5X currently if you are stuck in that mode.
