I realize it's an old thread, but in case anyone else is searching for an answer just use a fast curing 2-part epoxy on the motor shaft and re-attach the fan.  Should firm up in less than 5 minutes and it's not coming off again.  Had this problem happen twice.  First time I just snapped it back on.  Second time it's not going anywhere.
