MacBook wont start up

I have a Macbook pro that won't start up, the hard drive is still spinning.

I had a copy of El capitan on my usb plugged it into the old macbook pro then choose the usb then the screen flashed now its stuck with the hard drive still spinning with a black screen no chime too..

Got any suggestion?
