Same problem...tried shoving it in as far as it would go, to no avail...Will try again tomorrow, encouraged by the success of the others posting here....Thanks!

SUCCESS....after a night of sleeping on it....I took everyone's advice, and combined it ....I cleaned off the contacts with alcohol, (all I had) and pushed the contacts in as far as I physically could, and held my breath, and pushed the on button.....SUCCESS......thank you soooooo much to all of you, for sharing your pain, and solutions....
