Sorry for your situation, new board and all. For me, I would imagine it's one of 3 Issues.

# 1: Battery - you solved that one
# 2: Charging port - A lot less likely as it wouldn't really give you that message
# 3: Your Charging IC - Real possibility, easy to short or damage while repairing.
