i have a gen 1 ipod nano with the silver back and black front. the screen is cracked, but it still worked with a charge. now the charger that is an official apple ipod charger will not light up, nor will the ipod charge on any other type post. the head phone jack is shot too. i think the charger itself is toast too. not sure if it could be the slot that sits on the charger. my local repair guy is afraid to work on it. the cracked screen was minor could nit read anything so severe but at least it played music
