#1. How many receivers are on the Wii for the controllers? I am assuming that there are two receivers because each controller should have a specific controller receiver for each specific controller. If you only have one receiver then that is your issue the receiver is overtaxed trying to receive both controllers input. Also you might have a power issue, make sure both controllers have new/charged batteries. And yes rechargeable batteries do go bad with age. So if the rechargeable batteries are old you might want to get newer ones.
